Community Benevolence
St Paul is a church that is first and foremost concerned with the spiritual well-being of our congregants and our community but along with that we acknowledge the scriptural urging to help the poor.
The purpose of this fund is to:
- To honor God with the gifts He has first given by helping individuals and families facing a short-term financial crisis.
- To utilize benevolence resources in a manner which encourages a person in their God-given identity and purpose.
- To seek to avoid creating dependency and the potential harm to a person’s sense of self or livelihood.
- To develop a framework for decision making that is clear to staff, fund administrators, donors, and recipients.
